Rothe Development, Inc. has a long history of providing services and solutions to our customers at NASA, the Department of Defense (DoD), and worldwide commercial sectors.
Calibration & Metrology Lab
Our calibration laboratories have served in Texas for over 49 years. In that time, we have developed knowledge and skills yielding accreditations that have made us trusted partners in collaboration with our customers. We are one of the only Houston area commercial calibration laboratories to have achieved both ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
We provide both commercial and government sector customers with reliable calibration and metrology services and unmatched reach-back capabilities. We currently serve Texas and Louisiana and are always interested in discovering new opportunities.
Engineering & Technical Services
Since 1967 we have been supporting commercial and government customers in product research and development. In 1978 we began supporting the NASA/JSC Engineering Directorate with reverse engineering, design, manufacturing, and assembly of space flight hardware. Today we apply those engineering and technical services capabilities to support NASA with underwater pre-flight Extravehicular Activity (EVA) training, as well as landing recovery training for commercial space customers. We also specialize in facility maintenance & operations, diving, clean room services, and material handling equipment.

Technology
We provide highly specialized mission-enabling spaceflight services to support NASA’s information technology system and legacy components, as well as provide advanced research and development in information technology. These services support Johnson Space Center, other centers and government organizations, international partners, and affiliate commercial enterprise partners.
Commercialization of
Government Facilities
We are proud to collaborate with NASA/JSC to be one of the pioneers in developing external customer plans which are key to utilizing NASA Space Act Agreements (SAA) for government commercialization. In this capacity, we find commercial businesses and arrange contracts that enable these businesses to utilize NASA facilities for product development and testing, failure analysis, product training, and demonstrations. We began this capability during the NASA/JSC MACS contract in 1999 and continue today offering customers of the petrochemical, academia, aerospace, and other sectors access to NASA government facilities with excess capacity and availability.
