On Thursday, June 13, at REI Headquarters at 229 Sandhill St, Webster, TX, Rothe, in concert with the Rotary Club of Space Center, continued our annual event to offer anyone an opportunity to benefit the MD Anderson Blood Bank with blood donations. All told — with numbers similar to last year — we were able to positively affect 53 lives, bringing our running total to 246! Thank you to everyone who participated, from planning to set-up, and especially to all donors. We’re looking forward to next year and the possibility of breaking the 300 barrier!

Did you know that MD Anderson Cancer Center patients require approximately 200 units of red blood cells and 600 units of platelets every day? Giving back to our local communities is very important to both the fundamental values of RDI and REI. Therefore, providing an opportunity for our employees, family members, friends, and the community to donate whole blood and platelets for patients is a way we are honored to join the mission to #EndCancer.
